KS3 & GCSE English

Along with maths, GCSE English is probably the most crucial qualification for any 16 year old to pass. Our KS3 and GCSE English tutors are all experienced and qualified teachers that either teach or have recently taught in schools in and around St Ives. They are in a perfect position to help students develop the skills they need to achieve their goal in English – whether that goal is to improve their reading or writing in year 7, to get the critical GCSE English language pass, or simply to better understand Shakespeare or poetry!

We can support your son or daughter with any topics they’ve found difficult in class during the week, or that we identify that they need to develop. Students get lots of 1-1 time with their tutor and also opportunities to practice independently what they have been working on with their tutor. The immediate, detailed and constructive feedback that tutors are able to give allows our students to quickly improve and move forward. Prior to mocks and the actual GCSE exams, we can help students with their revision and work with them on practice exam papers – helping them to build their confidence and exam techniques.

I thought I should email you to say what a truly transforming educational experience Ben had upon joining St Ives Tutoring Centre. She is also very happy that she will not have to do any re-sits.
