KS3 & GCSE Maths Tutoring
With the introduction of the new 9-1 GCSE maths courses, more students than ever are finding GCSE Maths tough. The exams really are a step up in standard from the previous GCSE Maths, whether students are aiming to pass or aiming for the new top grade of a 9. So your son or daughter is certainly not the only one finding it tricky! The knock on effect is that schools have had to increase the standard in both years 7 and 8 to prepare students for their GCSE courses starting in year 9 or 10. We have a team of excellent, experienced KS3 and GCSE Maths tutors that can help your child understand the topics they’re finding difficult and boost their confidence.
All of our KS3 and GCSE maths students receive 1-1 tutoring within a very small group; each week they choose exactly which topics they want to work on with their tutor. This way, we can support them with topics they’ve found difficult in class that week or work on any areas they feel unsure of. We also have access to an excellent online GCSE maths revision program written specifically for the new 9-1 maths course, with literally thousands of practice exam-style questions and revision video clips. Students can also access this program from home to support the work our tutors do with them in their lessons. Prior to mocks and the actual GCSE exams, we can help students with their revision and work on practice exam papers with them to build their confidence and exam techniques.
So do please contact us if your son/daughter would like any extra support with their secondary maths. Regardless of their level, it’s amazing the difference a little bit of focused 1-1 help each week can make to their confidence and final grade.
